3GaS Mixer - Is a mixer designed for mixing two or three gases. If you have a bottle of argon (Ar) and a bottle of carbon dioxide (CO2), you can easily get a corgon mixture (80%Ar and 20%CO2). The use of corgon gas, in MIG/MAG welding, contributes to much better machine performance and significantly reduces the metal spatter produced during welding.
As for the precise adjustment for the low percentage of two of the gases, flow meters with 10 and 100 times greater accuracy than that for the high one are used. In this way, the mixer can also be used to mix gas for stainless steel welding. Namely (98% Ag and 2%CO2) or (98% Ag and 2%CO2). By using the mixer, there is no need to purchase a third cylinder which contains a mixture of gases.
It is quite common for the percentage of the two gases in the cylinder to be different, with different gas suppliers and consequently a difference in the welding process. Therefore, with this mixer, you can determine the percentage of the incoming gases yourself. You can make it the same every time. It is only necessary to connect from the reducing valves of the gases we want to mix, to the two nozzles (inAr) , (inCO2) or (inO2), on the rear panel of the mixer. The mixed gas exits at the nozzle (MIX). Adjusting its percentage is done by adjusting flow meters placed on the front panel of the mixer. If you use the mixer to mix only two gases it is not necessary to close the third inlet. The mixer has protection against the return of the output pressure to the inlet.
