TiP V2 - Is a portable device for sharpening tungsten electrodes. The machine is an improved version of the previous version. Having three times more powerful motor 350W. Even at maximum speed vibrations are reduced to a minimum. The angles at which they can be sharpened remain the same 15° , 25° and 35°. Sharpens electrodes with diameters : 1.6mm , 2.4mm and 3.2mm.
At the user's request, machines can be made for different taper angles and therefore for different electrode diameters. The tapering is done by a diamond disc, which produces perfectly tapered electrons with the same repeatability every time. As the taper lines are always in the direction not the electrode, which is very important for a stable (concentrated) arc.
During the sharpening, due to the high speed at which the diamond disc rotates, there is no need for constant cooling of the electrode as there is when sharpening an emery wheel or angle grinder. Only the sharpening angle and the corresponding electrode diameter need to be selected. The electrode is inserted into the marked hole we have chosen, the machine is switched on and the speed is adjusted according to the electrode diameter. The electrode must be rotated, which is similar to sharpening a pencil with a pencil sharpener, until it is sharp.
The machine also has the ability to cut the tungsten electrode. This is necessary if we want it shortened or a very large bead is produced for one reason or another. It can also dull the resulting very sharp point when tapering the electrode.
